National Puerto Rican Day ParadeWNYW/Fox 5 and WWOR/My9 returned for a third year as the exclusive English-language broadcasters of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. The live broadcast of the parade was hosted by Fox 5 anchor Ernie Anastos and My9 anchors Brenda Blackmon and Audrey Puente, Historically, the Parade has gathered the brightest stars in entertainment and Puerto Rican culture, including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Rosie Perez, Jimmy Smits, Roselyn Sanchez, Tego Calderon and Ricky Martin. Scheduled guests this year included recording artist Kat Deluna, Frankie Negron, Tito Puente, Jr., Geraldo Rivera, Willy Chirino, Fat Joe and Elsie Ramos. Each year, more than 80,000 participants march up Fifth Avenue in the Parade. In addition, the parade is attended by an average of more than two million people along its route making it one of the largest outdoor events in the United States.
