New York Weather Forecasts & News


The New York Weather Authority keeps you up informed on the most current forecasts, radar images, storm warnings and weather information you need before you head out of the house. This Web site has interactive Doppler Radar, Severe Weather resources, and school closing information for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. We have current conditions, a daily forecast, 5 day forecast and detailed short term forecasts updated regularly.

 

Look for regional conditions from Allentown, Pennsylvania to Wrightstown, New Jersey or you can enter any city in the United States to get up-to-the-minute conditions including temperature, wind chill, precipitation, barometric pressure, sunrise and sunset, dew point, humidity levels, wind speeds and visibility.

 

When thunderstorm, flooding or other watches and warnings are posted for any county in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut you can find information from including a map that will highlight the affected counties for each type of watch or warning.

Tracy Humphrey is the Weather Authority on Fox 5's weekend newscasts. Tracy has almost 10 years of weather experience across the east coast.

 

Interactive maps from the New York Weather Authority can pinpoint UV index conditions nationally, marine weather, infrared and visible clouds along with current conditions. There are also time critical watches and warnings built into the page so that you get information when you need it.

We also have a network of web cameras integrated into our Google Earth maps. The main image is provided by a camera mounted on the roof of the Fox 5 studios on East 67th Street on Manhattan's Upper East Side. There are other cameras provided by other Fox stations across the United States.


Another feature is our Radar Network with 30 different radar views, including images centering on the Bronx, Brooklyn, Central Park, The Hamptons, Long Branch, Manhattan, New Jersey, The Metro Area, New York State, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Poughkeepsie, Queens, Seaside Heights, Stamford, Staten Island, and Syracuse.
